John Kelly’s Hornpipe

Name

John Kelly’s (Hornpipe)

About

John Kelly Junior remembers his father saying that this was an old tune played in West Clare. It was not a tune that was played very often by John Kelly Senior.

A version of this tune was also recorded by Sligo fiddler, James Morrison under the name “The Provincial Hornpipe” which he plays on the album “The Pure Genius of James Morrison” that was released by Seanachai Records in 1978.
